Family Love

I had a fun break this Christmas and New Year because I got to see all of my family from my mothers side. What made it even better is that we surprised my grandparents with a session of family photos with all of us together. They originally didn't know that half the family was going to be coming up for the New Year until for Christmas they got a card and a frame telling them that we were all going to be with them on December 30 for family pictures. We all couldn't wait for this day to come and then finally it came and we had fun!

It was kind of an emotional photo shoot knowing that one of us wasn't there with us physically anymore. We also all knew that this would probably be one of our last times getting together for awhile because many of us will either be graduating, will be out on missions and some of us may get married.

Here are a few of the photos that were taken.

The ones who started it all because they fell in love...

Grandpa and Grandma

This is my Family.
Kaleb, Me, Abbie, Dad, Samantha, Mom and Wade

This is the whole entire Holt side.
Families are: Gina & Jeremy, Jennifer & Jeff, Rhonda & Vernon, and Brandy & Jeff

All 17 grand-kids with my grandparents.

This is Me

And of course I couldn't let the photo shoot end with out getting a photo with my best bud Corbin:)

Rose and Corbin

In short it was a great break and full of  family time. I love being with my family and spending time with them and I am so lucky that I get to see many of them often.

The Smiles and Things I've Noticed (Thank Yous)

There are many little things that this week I noticed more then I normally do and I think I usually just take for granite. I have so many wonderful friends who do the simplest of things that make my days a million times better and I want to point them out in this post.

Martin Wyall:
Wants me happy and is always caring. He helps me out in English class and also helps to lighten my load in choir class. He is always joking around just so he can attempt to hear me laugh. For Martin saying I'm Okay is not a good enough answer and instantly he wants to know how can he make me better or even great. He is also right there if I ever have a question and he will figure out an answer. Martin is good at making people smile and laugh and I watch him do it at school all the time to make others days better.
Thank You Martin.

Mason Thorpe:
Will text me just to make sure I'm alright. We may not talk long but in the end he has accomplished what I think is his personal mission, which is to make me smile. He takes time to listen even when he is crazy busy. Mason also makes sure everyone is happy at school and is friends to everyone its fun to watch him go around and cheer people up around the school.
Thank You Mason.

Sam Eversole:
Takes the simple few seconds to smile and wave at me in the halls at school. This helps me to know I have friends no matter where I go. It makes me happier to know that I have a friend like Sam anywhere I go and that he will smile. One of the simplest things but yet one of the most profound things a friend can do for a friend. He also cares for everyone around him and I see him care for others all the time at school.
Thank You Sam.

Whitney Hingson:
She has been with me through all of my high school years and has never let me down. Always no matter what the situation Whitney can usually make me laugh and smile. She takes the time to have fun with me. She and I have a great time playing games during lunch, talking about boys, laughing at our mistakes, and we must not forget going on our little "missions". She knows how to make people feel special and how to comfort and make people feel good about themselves while at school. Its my pleasure to be her friend and watch her make so many people feel happy daily.
Thank You Whitney.

Brandon Landis:
Smiles at me in choir class or will even do an occasional funny face in order to make me laugh while singing. This may be small and simple but it works and I appreciate his smile. I also watch as Brandon makes others happy during lunch time and talks with everyone and anyone around him.
Thank You Brandon.

Ashtyn Jones:
Always is asking me if I'm alright as school. She has a fun humor about her that I know by the time we are done talking we will be laughing at ourselves. We get to work together as TA's and it also gives us time to talk and help each other out. She is so caring about others around her and is always trying to make others happy at school. I love watching as she welcomes everyone into her circle of friends.
Thank You Ashtyn.

Megan Moss:
Is a friend who gives me support in all I do. She is a good listener and takes time to listen to my thoughts and I appreciate this a lot. She is open to ideas and she likes to be spontaneous like running in the sprinklers or creating box sleds. I like being around Megan for she is a good friend.
Thank You Megan.

Cutler Johnson:
Has an outgoing attitude and is funny. He was my partner in the Gershwin Swing Set that we sang at our choir concert. I have to say I had a blast acting and getting to know Cutler better. He knows how to make people smile no matter what. He is friends to all and he likes to make sure everyone is involved.
Thank You Cutler.

Ethan Blanchard:
He knows how to make everyone and anyone smile. He involves everyone and even though he may be on student council he still talks to me. He will say hi to me in the halls and in choir class and I appreciate that. Thank You Ethan.

Tagart McNeil:
Is friends to everyone and doesn't let his position at school decide who he will be around. He involves everyone and makes everyone feel welcome even me. I am a shy person and he takes the time to include me or even just smile at me or say hi and it makes all the difference. I like watching him at school and how he will talk with anyone or if he sees that someone is alone he will be that persons friend.
Thank You Tagart.

These are all small things that maybe all of you don't realize what a difference it can make in peoples lives, my life. The smallest of things make all the difference. I know I have friends and this is only a portion of the amazing things I see you all do in order to make a difference in someones life at OHS.
Thank You for changing my life and making it better.
I Love You all.

UPDATES in my life

Im sorry I haven't posted anything in a while life has been crazy but here is a run down on what has happened.

August:
20: School Started my senior year at Orem High and I'm loving every minute of it. I started to make new friends like

Grant Weber - Fun , outgoing, funny and a good friend.
Martin Wyall - How can I explain Martin;) He is my best friend and is so fun to be around, he is always happy and can always make a person smile no matter what, he is also a great gentleman and I appreciate that about him, he is also very caring and easy to talk to.
Sara Yule -  she is my Plant and Soil Science buddie who to tell you the truth we make each other laugh a lot of the class time and Lawson doesn't care because we still get our work done.
Bodie Wood - My other science bud who just graduated and is now gone but he was a great friend.
Emma Hardman and Nicole Jacobson - Both great Government buddies along with Whitney Hingson.

And of course there are my many other friends like Whitney Hingson(my BFF), Ashtyn Jones, Megan Moss, Sam Eversole, Mason Thorpe, Brandon Landis, Elijah Bickmore, Sammi Healy, Garret Payne, All of Chamber Choir, and many many others.

September:

7: Abbie my youngest sister got baptized and to tell you the truth I feel kind of old knowing shes eight already. Oh how time flys by so quickly.

14: I was asked to go to Homecoming with Grant Weber and I had so much fun it was a blast. It was especially fun playing chase for the day date;)
Grant Weber and I

Also in September I went to a couple BYU games the Texas Game and the Utes game. The Utes game was fun to go to because I went with Cutler, Zach and Sam Eversole.

October:

9-13: My family went on a trip to California and had a blast at Disneyland. Cars Land was my favorite part about the whole thing especially since I got to see Mater my favorite car (character).

19: Sadies Dance! I took Mason Thorpe. I had so much fun with Mason I learned he can get hyper and its so much fun to be around him. We had a lot of fun together.
Mason Thorpe and I
Acting like we just met at the park ;)

23: First Choir Concert of the year for OHS and it was a lot of work but well worth it. I love preforming with the choirs and getting a chance to show what we have learned and know.

26: Happy Birthday to me. I turned 18 years old and Samantha took me out and got Jamba Juice and then Whitney stopped by to say hello and give me a present and then Martin surprised me and came over and gave me a present and said hello also. I was very grateful to the both of them for stopping by and just taking the time to say hello. Thank You.

29: My Great Grandpa Owen passed away at the age of 87.

31: Was a  princess for Halloween and Whitney came over and helped me hand out candy while we played Jacks (if you do not know what the game Jacks is then you need to play it sometime and start questioning what you did in your childhood) ;) Its a fun game even though Whitney won every time ;)

November so far:

1: Went to the last football game of the season for OHS and i think it was a great year of football. If you don't already know I love to watch football so I went to almost every game this season. Great Job this year boys! Loved coming to your games

4: Today was the funeral for my Great Grandpa and it is interesting to see so many Stouts who a lot of them I do not know.

Anyway, this is basically what has happened a simple version of what has gone on but it is still an update ;) I love you all and all the support that you have given me. Thanks for all you do. Also if you have any questions about things I have done feel free to ask I will answer. Thanks again.

Summer Life

Summer is one month from being over and my senior year beginning at Orem High. I cant believe I'm a senior this year its crazy. I plan to make it a great year and to fill it will lots of singing and choir;)

Anyway I have done many things since the last post so here is a brief run down on whats happened.

June:

15 -  I went and supported my dad in the Orem Days Parade and had lots of fun:) Kinda funny cause just before the parade was to start his Power Wagon didn't want to start and so we  had to give it a push start to get it going.

23 - I got my Young Women s Medallion. I am glad I have finally completed this project. I have learned many things from the young women's program and am grateful for it.

27 - I went to my cousin Lizy's birthday party and had lots of fun. Only also on this day I felt like my world had crashed in because my grandpa was told he needed to have a stent put into his heart asap. I hate doctors but I know they do good I was just completely nervous and was truly debating many things in my life.

July:

2 & 3 - I went to the Stadium of Fire rehearsals and it was ridiculously hot and semi annoying but all worked out in the end :p
 Acrobats at Stadium

4 - For the Fourth of July I went to the hospital to visit my grandpa because he got his little i guess you call it operation done on yes the Fourth of July early in the morning. Everything went well and hes doing good. Then I went Stadium of Fire that night to preform with the choir. It was a very fun experience but all I could really do was think about my grandpa at the hospital.

5 through the 6 - I babysat my Uncle Jeffs kids Lizy, Kylee, and Corbin while him and his wife Brandy went on a weekend trip. They were lots of fun to take care of only I learned how much of a hand full kids can be ;)

8 through the 13 - Went to work everyday with my grandpa to make sure that he didn't lift anything after his surgery with his heart. I got to spend a lot of time with him which I will cherish for the rest of my life. I love my grandpa and love talking with him.

10 - I was asked out on a date. Jake Hogan took me out on a date to classic skating which was fun and I thought it cool to go on a date that wasn't school related.

13 - Quad Stake Dance. I had fun and I got to take a girl named Abbey with me. She is such a sweetheart and I loved going with her I cant wait till she comes back and visits Utah again.

16 - My family went four wheeling up by Hope Campground. It rained that night which meant we were four wheeling in the mud and rain. It was lots of fun though.

17 - Choir Council Retreat was on this day and I thought it was very fun:) We went to CLAS Ropes in Provo and learned more on how to be a team and work together. We also learned to get over our fears. I will admit I was pretty nervous at this ropes course but Im glad I pushed myself to do it because it was so worth it in the end. I got to see many friends again at this retreat and I got to work with the council to help make a plan for the choirs this year.

18 - I went to the Scera Shell to see the musical Sound of Music with Maili. It was a good play and I liked hanging out with Maili. :) Thanks Maili for hanging out with me.

19 - Megan Moss and I went for a very long and fun bike ride:) We were I would say a bit crazy but it was so worth it. I learned we both love running through random peoples sprinklers and it was awesome:) Thanks Megan for a great and fun time.

20 - My family went four wheeling again only this time up Chicken Hollow in the canyons. It was lots of fun and tiring only I had more fun doing it in the rain on the 16th ;) I also went with my Uncle Jeff and saw the movie World War Z. Its a strange movie.

I think that just about sums everything up. I haven't had a very eventful summer but its been good I guess.
I hope everyone is having a great summer and enjoying times with family and friends.
Cant wait to see many of you again at school. Post again later.

May 15th I had my last choir concert of this year with a very amazing group of people who I wont ever forget. I had the best choir class this year it was great! I will miss this choir but the memories and friendships made this year will last forever:)

May 18th I went to my sisters Samantha and Abbies Dance Concert and they both did amazing! I have to admit I had fun taking pictures of them and I got one of Samantha in the air doing the splits;) It was fun to see them dance.

May 26th today I will be going to my brother Wade's Eagle Court of Honor:) I'm so very proud of him and that he has got this accomplished especially since hes only 13 years old and been in Deacons one year and hes an Eagle Scout.

Well that is basically it minus the fact that its almost SUMMER TIME!!! I love summer and the warm weather. I'm happy that school is almost over only I'm going to miss so many people especially all my senior friends who are graduating and moving on in their lives I wish them all the best of luck:)

Update again later. I Love You All!
