Getting Caught

Preference is the next dance and I decided to ask Kennen Brooks.

I asked him by giving him doughnuts that I made while putting my name in the middle of one of the doughnuts.

 Well I went and doorbell ditched them at his door and a little kid caught me and told Kennen exactly where I was hiding! I was lucky and Kennen didn't come out and confront me. Now I'm just hoping for a yes otherwise I do the whole process of asking someone out to the dance again.

Just a hint to everyone when you ask someone out on a date, never do it when the person your asking has company over at their house like I did.

I was embarassed and learned my lesson of don't ask if they have company over.

Busy Life / A Wonderful Friend

Life has been busy and I don't even know how to start explaining it......

I have been into the hospital at least 4 times in the past month (since the end of Oct / beginning of Nov)

I have found out that I have an extreme low heart rate (24-ish when sleeping 40-ish when awake and resting)

I have had my blood drawn twice for medical tests

I have been missing school due to health conditions with my heart and its driving me crazy.

I have passed out a couple times and once was while giving a friend a hug(he knows who he is)

I had lots of fun at Sherwood Forest and running around crazy (October 27)

I have had a wonderful person come into my life who I will not name but He is amazing!

I went on an awesome date with Todd Raffensparger on December 1st!

I have had choir songs stuck in my head which I love the song Carol of Joy.

I have celebrated my sister Samantha's 16th birthday and I had a group of boys go and sing Happy Birthday to her in class and give her roses (it was a surprise and she was shocked)

I have spent time with my cousin Steven who is going on a mission soon to Washington

I went to the OHS Ballroom Concert and watched my friends dance they did amazing! (Dec 7)

I went to my ward party on December 8th and had fun with Todd who came to it also.

I can't wait till December 14th when I get to go up to Temple Square and sing with the OHS Acappella Choir:)

I have a Choir Concert on December 12th

I have another Choir Concert on December 15th

I have a Party on the 16th with Family

I know that I have a wonderful friend that is always helping me and has been supporting me through this medical trial in my life. If it wasn't for him I don't know what I would have done.

Thank You for supporting me and helping me get through this.

In all December is a Crazy month and life has Been Busy.

Rivalry

Rivalry:

the act of rivalling; competition

the state of being a rival or rivals   FOOTBALL OHS vs MV   Well its that time of the football season where everyone gets excited for the big game against their rival. I am very excited for this game to happen because it involves many pre game things and the best part is I get to see my friends from Mountain View also.  Yes of course I will be cheering for my team Orem High :)  This game though will be different from the other home games at Orem because  1 Are rival MV is coming over to visit and  2 Its a black out game for OHS and a white out for MV This game is tonight and all I can say is I hope that none of  OHS team gets hurt. I also hope that they all play fair and nice.  Well got to go get ready for this game:) post the Score after the game. GO TIGERS!!

A Word of Advice

To every girl that reads my blog.
I just want to give a certain peice of advice to you all.

I learned this tonight:

When ever a boy gives you a compliment no matter who it is never just ignore it or decide that they are just saying it for fun, because they really mean it and want to make you happy.
please do not ignore the boys that give you compliments.

So to a certain someone and he knows who he is, Im sorry that I may seem sometimes that I never take your compliments seriously when the truth is I take them to heart and you melt my heart and soul.
Thank you so much that you compliment me and that you are my friend.
Your a wonderful, talented, handsome, and amazing person. Thank you so much!

The Best Day of My Life

HOMECOMING

Well let me start from the begining. 

Friday night (September 14th) I went to the homecoming game with my homecoming date Jake Hogan and a his brother Tristen and my friend Whitney.

The game was long because the Ref's kept on calling things(I think the Ref's had a lot of fun throwing their little yellow flags)

Anyway we won Salem Hills!

Next Day...

Homecoming Dance

I loved / love my homecoming date. 

Jake took me to Savers and we raced to find things in Savers as fast as we could. It was a scavenger hunt in which we had to find a bunch of random things and it was fun! I in the end got a Snuggie Blanket and I have decided I really like them :)

Next was the Dance. 

Jake came and picked me at 6pm and I have to admit his reaction when he saw me was the best!

The Corsage he gave me was beautiful and I couldn't stop looking at it all night.

We went to Sam James's house for dinner in his backyard which was awesome! It was decorated in lights and the table was all set up and decorated and it was just pure Beauty. 

The food was delicious and I really enjoyed it.

We then went to get our pictures taken by a neighbor of Sam's which was fun I like to take pictures. 

After Pic's we went back to Sam's house and we played Curse's (which I had never played before).

I really enjoyed the game only I am not that great at it. 

My date Jake ended up winning the game and hes really good at the game Curses.

Next we went to the Dance. 

I loved the dance and dancing with Jake is the best.

Jake made me feel beautiful with his compliments and smile and etc...

I still consider myself and always will consider myself the luckiest girl ever to be able to go to the Dance with Jake Hogan.

I couldn't have asked for anything better.

HOMECOMING!!!

HOMECOMING!

I cant wait till Homecoming this weekend.

I was asked by Jake Hogan on August 31.

I am the luckiest person alive to be getting a chance to go to Homecoming Dance because I really didn't think I was going to be going this year I had basicly given up hope for going. 

But then SURPRISE! Jake asks me to go with him :)

I am grateful that there are boys out there that actually ask girls on dates.

I'm proud of every boy that asks a girl on a date even if its not to a dance I think its great!

Well moving on ..... I already have my dress I bought it the day after he asked me. 

Its a long chocolate brown dress with a little bit of bejeweling across the waist.

I will post a picture of me in my dress on later.

Next the Homecoming Game....

Homecoming game is verses Salem Hills this Friday September 14th at 7pm at the OHS football field.

I will be there cheering so loud I wont have a voice at the dance (which could be a bad thing) :p

Hope all is well with everyone and I hope that all of you that are in High School still are going to Homecoming!

Emily Austin

*Choir members who went to OHS in the 2011 - 2012 school year (Acappella or Concert Choir) and remember the songs Pilgrim Song and Go Ye Now in Peace please come to a practice at 6pm in the OHS choir room Sunday August 5 so we can preform these two pieces at Emily's funeral. The practice will only be about 45mins long then go to the viewing after practice.

Emily Austin...Forever Remembered

Emily Austin passed away this morning August 2, 2012. 

She was a wonderful girl and my best friend. She was strong and made everyone who knew her so happy. 

I can't wait for the day when I get to see her again.

I'm having a hard time coping with the passing of Emily because she was my best friend.

I will always remember Emily forever! 

More updates to come on when and where her funeral is. 

Please everyone remember Emily's family in your prayers.

I miss you Emily.

Youth Camp and Dances

Hey everyone! 

I went to Youth Camp this last weekend up at Heber Valley Camp and I had a blast! It was lots of fun and I learned lots from all the little classes that I took. I will admit that I think the dance was the best part of the whole thing because I got to hang out with a lot of my friends. I also say thank you to the 3 boys that slow danced with me, your all real good dancers :) Thank you Alex Smith, Robert Rex and Taylor Camp! I would post pictures of this camp only I forgot my camera. I thought I had it but it was actually left on my dresser at home so I might try and take some from my sisters camera and post them :p

Next I found out that there is a multi-stake dance this weekend Saturday the 21st at 8:30pm at the Cascade Stake center in Orem. I will find the address and post it on here later today hopefully. I invite everyone to come to this I would love to see you all there because I am going and do not want to be there alone.

I really miss seeing all of you and hope that we can hang out before the summer is over!

Stadium and my teeth....again : /

Just so everyone knows I had to give my spot up in the stadium choir. :'(

My mouth was not healed enough to preform.

I also went into the wisdom tooth doctor again that saturday (July 7th) and found out that I heal to quickly and that I heal so fast that my mouth doesn't have time to "drain" from the surgery on my left side of my face. So the lady there had to cut back open my hole on the left side of my face so that the swelling and draining would go down and hopefully heal properly. I have been back in pain again for another week of not wanting to eat anything..... it really sucks to not be able to eat anything but ice cream you get kind of tired of it after awhile. :p I am feeling a bit better today and hope that I will be eating normal again by sunday. Samantha is just fine and already eating normal and I am really jealous of her. I wish I could eat  some of the things shes eating. I will post a couple pictures later if you want to see what I looked like during the pain and dreadful first week after surgery.

Post more later I just had to let you know my frustration with my mouth.

ps...our house is looking great we finally have a roof and it looks great:) we just have to finish the inside of the house now I will post pics of this later also.

Wisdom and the Stadium of Fire!!

For all of you out there who haven't gotten your wisdom teeth pulled consider your self LUCKY! 

I am getting my wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow and I am NOT excited for it. If you want you may come visit me in fact please come visit me, I will just be bored at my house doing nothing but putting ice packs on my face :p I can't promise that I will talk much because I don't know how this whole process goes but all I know is that you cant eat anything.  

*if you have a suggestion on what to eat and what is easy to eat please let me know asap.

*oh if you do come say hi come in the afternoon preferably because I know I should be home by then.

Next I have to be able to sing within two days of the surgery!! The reason I must sing is because I am in the Stadium of Fire Choir. I will be preforming with 299 other people and fireworks will be exploding behind us and ashes will be landing on my head. If I can't sing by Monday July 2nd then I will be kicked off the choir which I really don't want to happen. If you are going to the Stadium of Fire let me know and I will look for you and you can look for me on the stage.
I hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th of July and please don't start anything on fire Utah already has way to many fires.

Schools over and my house is getting bigger:)

Schools over and so time for some fun! All my siblings are having parties at my house this week and I get to help with them. But now with the fun comes lots of work at my house because if you don't know already we are adding on to my house. Its a long process and a boreing one, but once its over I get to have my own room so I can't wait.

School's almost over, Seniors are leaving

One more week (okay 1 week and 2 days) I cant wait! CRTs (state tests) are over for me and I have gotten my scores back also. I'm so proud of myself. :) I'm excited for SUMMER just like a lot of kids at school. A lot of my friends are seniors and will be graduating this year and moving on in their lives. I will miss them sssooooo much. So here is a shout out to a few of them:

Becca Neilson: 

My wonderful friend! You are so beautiful and I am going to miss you dearly (especially Laural's class) we need to have another one of our parties before you leave for California this summer. Love ya!

Adam Leavitt:

 You where the first person to talk to me in seminary this year. :) I will admit I was super shy but instantly you became my friend. You always say hi to me in the halls and I am going to miss having you in my seminary class. Your great thank you for being my friend. Love Ya!

Brittany Harr: 

I didn't know you until Bro Judd had us do the "get to know you game" in class. We had a lot in common and I always have liked being around you. Thank you so much for always making me feel included and talking with me. Love Ya!

Alysa Hansen: 

I will miss you a lot. You have been so much fun in our Sunday school class and Laural's class and I will miss all the talks we had about food :) You have always been so prepared and you know how to make food ;) Love Ya!

I hope that I can keep in touch with most my senior friends and I will forever try hard to stay in touch with them. They are amazing and I wish them well on their adventures in college and I hope I can  see you all again soon! Please don't forget me. You will always be in my prayers and my heart no matter what happens.

Project

Hey everyone I think I am going to have to call it quits on this project UNLESS I get calls or emails in the next week. No one has called or emailed me about dresses so I don't know what to do now. I personally think its funny how so many people I know have dresses but want to keep them so they can stare at them and never wear them again.
I will wait another week and then after that I don't think I can continue to ask for dresses cause prom is only 1 to 3 weeks away depending on what school you go to.

195 Dresses

Watch this Mormon Message. It is the video that inspired me to do what I'm doing with the Prom Dresses. I'm excited to get this  project going and I am hoping that it turns out to be something like Charity's project.

The Prom Dress Project

It’s a hard thing to come by modest Prom dresses and cheap dresses also. I am going around asking
people if they would like to give their formal dresses that they used to me so that I can loan them out to
girls who want to be modest at a dance. These dresses will help many girls enjoy and have fun at dances
while looking nice. Please if you have a dress no matter what the size or what it looks like and you know
